Happy Friday everyone!
Rosie is Ready!
Well friends, this might be Rosie’s last post! She’s doing SO incredibly well! She had her rehab consult last night and the vet said within 3 – 4 sessions, at 1 session a week she should be pretty much baring full weight on her leg! She rocked the underwater treadmill and made me so proud, I cried like a baby! Please keep an eye out for Rosie’s bio on our adoption page, we’re looking for an incredible forever home for one incredible little girl! Thank you so much to everyone who has shown their support through financial donations and verbal encouragement! You have all played a huge part in her recovery process and we’re so grateful! Love, Amanda and Rosie!
Rosie is going to Rehab!
Rosie finally has admitted she has a problem and she’s going to rehab! Ha! Just kidding, she doesn’t do drugs! She is however going to rehab to strengthen her leg and gain some more mobility! Her consultation with Dr. Leslie Woodcock, who by the way has two dachs of her own which she adopted through DRNA from my good friend Tammy McGregor (small world!!), is on Monday! Will let you know how it goes!
Funny story – we had a laser therapy treatment last night and Rosie met a yorkie/pom cross in the lobby! They become instant best buddies, trying desperately to get some good play time in while us owners tried not to get tangled in their leashes! Other patients, vet techs, and receptionists gathered around giggling and watching them play! No one has met her who doesn’t just love her!
GOOOOOOOD News!
Get ready for some goooooood news! Rosie visited Dr. John tonight and got some fabulous news! She’s out of the woods – no surgery and no leg amputation for this gal! Her next step is rehabilitation therapy on her leg – Dr. John even gave us some exercises to work on at home and boy, does she ever look cute walking on her two rear legs! He’s confident that within 4 weeks Rosie will be bearing full weight on her leg and ready to go! …and his she ever ready for a family of her own
3 toes!
Pssssst…incase you didn’t notice in my picture – my inside toe fell off! Foster ma says that makes me even more special – plus, I’m beginning to think that 3 might be better than 4!!
Love and Tail Wags – Rosie Posie
